Job Title: Cost Control Summer Student ~ RQ 25-30 ~

We are searching for an eager Cost Control Summer Student.   You will work with the Drilling and Completions team supporting all aspects of the team.  Cost control (purchase requestions, purchase orders, and contract management) and invoice management (verifying, coding, tracking, etc) will be the focus while learning about drilling and completions and supporting the planning and design of new wells.

This is a summer student position based out of Calgary. This position is full time from May – August 2026

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Learning about Drilling and Completions and supporting the engineering and operations teams.
• Assist Operations Administrator with fully life cycle management of our cost control practice (Purchase Requisitions, Purchase orders and tracking).
• Support our Invoice Management process.  This includes validation, wellview tracking and disputing invoices.
• Support Wellsite Supervisors for Wellview related inquiries and coding validation
• Support Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) entry and tracking.

Your Qualifications:

• You will have completed their 1st, 2nd year or 3rd in a Engineering or Business Degree program and will be returning to school in Fall 2026.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Demonstrated desire to learn and develop their skills
• Enthusiastic and motivated
• Your prior experience in oil and gas is an asset
