We are searching for an eager Infrastructure & Support Summer Student. Reporting to the Supervisor infrastructure & Support, the Infrastructure & Support role will have many tasks, exposing the student to personal device support, including operating systems and applications across tablets, desktop computers, and mobile phones. User administration and IT Service management tasks, printer and peripheral support, and device deployment will be included in this role.

This is a summer student position based out of Calgary, working from our office 5 days per week. This position is full-time from May to August 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the service desk team learning all areas of support.
  • Set up new users and assist with onboarding
  • Work with BOS to assist with desk moves and user enters and exits
  • Troubleshoot application issues
  • Prepare new hardware and reimage returned equipment
  • Keep up to date records and inventory of hardware

  • Keen interest in standards and best practices 
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with a variety of stakeholders
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities, deadlines, and business needs in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and ownership of work, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results
  • Technologically savvy with strong proficiency with windows, iOS-based software, and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Prior internship, co-op, volunteer, customer service, or relevant work experience is considered an asset
  • Experience working on academic, extracurricular, or community projects demonstrating leadership, teamwork, and initiative is considered an asset

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a computer science bachelor’s degree program, preference will be given to those who have completed their first year of academic studies
  • Must be returning to full-time studies upon completion of the work term
  • Must attach your most recent unofficial or official transcript with your application to be considered
  • Available to work full-time in our Calgary office for the duration of the 4-month work term
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • The successful candidate will be required to provide satisfactory references and pass a criminal background check
