We are searching for an eager Asset Integrity Summer Student to join our team in the summer of 2027.  Reporting to the Manager, Asset Integrity, you will be part of the Asset Integrity team.  By supporting the team in the completion of processes and tasks in the Pressure Equipment Integrity Management (PEIM) System and Pipeline Integrity Management Program (IMP), you will gain exposure to the associated processes utilized in an Asset Integrity department. 

This is a summer student position based out of Calgary, working from our office 5 days per week. Field visits may be conducted with field travel to Alberta facilities with another team member. This position is full-time from May to August 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Cenozon Mitigation Strategy Acceptance (MSA) process, by compiling, validating, and maintaining integrity-related data.
  • Assist with annual reviews of low-risk pipeline assets to ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Compile and analyze field review data to support asset integrity assessments and decision-making.
  • Review and update pipeline schematics, identifying and resolving Management of Change (MOC) discrepancies and data inconsistencies.
  • Gather and validate Cathodic Protection (CP), Integrity Compliance Tracking (ICT), and other integrity data for integration into Cenozon PIRM.
  • Inactive well site visits for equipment verification
  • Standardized recording of pressure equipment attributes within our enterprise management software Maximo
  • Utilize standardized pressure equipment attributes for fitness for service assessments.
  • Analysis of PSV (Pressure Safety Valves) relationships to equipment
  • Asset Integrity records management review, ensure historical records are accurately filed

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with a variety of stakeholders
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities, deadlines, and business needs in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and ownership of work, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experience with Maimo is considered an asset
  • First Aid and H2S Awareness training is considered an asset
  • Prior internship, co-op, volunteer, customer service, or relevant work experience is considered an asset
  • Experience working on academic, extracurricular, or community projects demonstrating leadership, teamwork, and initiative is considered an asset

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an Engineering bachelor’s degree or Computer Science program, preference will be given to those in their 3rd or 4th year.  
  • Must be returning to full-time studies upon completion of the work term
  • Must attach your most recent unofficial or official transcript with your application to be considered
  • Ability and willingness to travel to Alberta field locations for primarily day trips and occasional overnight visits.
  • Valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license (or equivalent) preferred
  • Available to work full-time in our Calgary office for the duration of the 4-month work term
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • The successful candidate will be required to provide satisfactory references and pass a criminal background check
