To co-ordinate overall execution of Engineering activities to ensure that facilities design basis is achieved
Manage the delivery of facility project activities to ensure that applicable FEED and EPC engineering across all project disciplines achieves the design intent.


Provide visible Safety Leadership in office and site through active participation in the HSSE Program
Provide Engineering Surveillance, Management of Change, Progress Tracking, Specification Deviations and Project Reviews in accordance with the Business requirements
Manage interfaces among Engineering, Construction, Systems Completion, Operations, other Project EPC contracts, and third parties to obtain timely input and decisions
Ensure that work is executed in compliance with the Contract, Project Design Basis, Specifications, Codes, Standards, and Regulations
Ensure Engineering planning supports Operational, Turn Around, Procurement and Construction Execution schedule
Successful completion of technical aspects of respective tenders including ITT development, bulletins, clarifications, and final tenderer proposal evaluation and recommendation
Manage facility Engineering, Technical, field and contractor queries with timely and appropriate responses
Support Operations Manager as required for both internal and external stakeholder Management and engagement
Co-ordinate multi-discipline technical reviews such as P&IDs, 3D Model, HAZOP, SIL, System
Monitor design, manufacturing and testing of long lead equipment items
Plan and schedule work (short and long term) and ensure execution of work plan to support availability targets and applicable project schedule
Maintain design integrity and quality requirements through the management of change and specification deviation process
Consistently complete applicable EPC deliverable reviews within contractual time limit and ensures high quality approved for construction engineering deliverables are provided on schedule
Engage resources within and outside company on a timely basis to resolve engineering issues
Close action items from project reviews per the target schedule
Co-ordinate and facilitate Internal and external stakeholder reviews overall strategic planning and development input into the Master schedule for TAQA Projects and Operations
Establish and maintain all schedules in close cooperation with the operational and project discipline
Evaluate risk issues with possible schedule effects and be involved in defining mitigating actions
Follow up and verification of contractor’s activities and performance, time management process and deliveries
Demonstrable experience in establishing applicable Maintenance Standards and Procedures
Management of onshore assets in a Senior Maintenance Manager role
Experience and delivery track record of leading discipline teams to meet targets on time within budget
Demonstrated knowledge of managing shutdowns, breakdowns and planned maintenance activities




Engineering Degree or Equivalent


Managerial and leadership training



Minimum of 20 years Operations Engineering & Maintenance experience in the
upstream/downstream oil/gas sector with demonstrable experience in establishing applicable
Engineering and Maintenance Standards and Procedures
Minimum of 15 years experience in a Senior Technical role within the hydrocarbons industry
Solid understanding and knowledge of Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Construction and Projects activities
Experience of operations planning and scheduling
Experience of working closely with or leading Inspection and Engineering Teams
Experience of computerised maintenance management systems
Demonstrated knowledge of managing and building relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management in maintenance support organisations
Significant Experience of managing maintenance contracts including LTSAs Operations
Engineering and Maintenance Inspection Consultancy experience
Good with people – able to listen, handle and resolve team issues and influence decision making


Energy industry experience, preferably oil and gas exploration and production and infrastructure development and financing generally
