Job Title: HSSE Analyst - RQ 25-50

TAQA North is seeking an HSSE Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Vice President, People & Safety, you will be responsible for collecting, managing and analyzing HSSE data to support regulatory compliance and performance improvement. This includes maintaining data systems, developing reports and dashboards, tracking emissions and regulatory submissions and identifying risks and trends. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to strategic initiatives and provide training and insights that drive informed decision making and continuous safety enhancement.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather HSSE-related data from incident reports, audits, inspections, monitoring systems, and regulatory submissions.​
  • Maintain accurate and consistent data in local and corporate HSSE systems (e.g., Novisto, Minimum, Maximo and ISN)​
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.​
  • Analyze incident trends, leading/lagging indicators, and performance metrics to identify risks and improvement opportunities.​
  • Develop dashboards, scorecards, and reports for executives, operations, and regulatory bodies.​
  • Support root cause analysis by providing accurate data insights.​
  • Track compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., AER, Alberta OHS, Environment and Climate Change Canada).​
  • Fugitive emissions reporting and stewardship.​
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual HSSE performance reports.​
  • Benchmark company HSSE performance against industry standards and best practices.​
  • Identify emerging risks, anomalies, or areas of underperformance.​
  • Support strategic HSSE initiatives, campaigns, and audits with data-driven insights.​
  • Partner with HSSE leadership to inform decision-making.​
  • Train employees on HSSE data systems and reporting requirements.​
  • Work closely with operations, engineering, and regulatory teams to ensure accurate submissions.​

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Environmental Science, Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.​
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably in oil & gas.
  • Previous experience with HSSE management systems or and regulatory reporting is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and Power BI tools
  • Advanced Excel skills: familiarity with SQL or Python is an asset.
  • Knowledge of local HSSE regulations, standards and reporting frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills to present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
