TAQA has a Digital - Summer Student vacancy in the Aberdeen office. 

Role Duration - 12‑week contract - commencing June 2026.

Reporting to - Digital Success Manager

This position will be employed on contractor basis via an employment agency.

Compressed Working Week (CWW) 

TAQA offers onshore employees and contractors a Compressed Working Week (CWW) in order to help achieve a healthy work-life balance.  The CWW is an arrangement where employees and contractors work a standard two-week work period (10 days) over a compressed period of 9 working days i.e. employees contracted to work 37.5 hours per week will work 75 hours over 9 days (instead of 10 days). The 10th day in the second week of the CWW period is known as 'Flex Friday', a non-working day.

BASIC PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

This is a business-focused placement, ideal for students interested in digital transformation and modern workplace tools., The student will focus on digital improvement and support business functions by experimenting with low-code solutions, AI tools, and process improvements to boost efficiency and automation. over a structured 12-week placement.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Sustainable AI & Low-Code Prototyping: Help turn business problems into simple, testable solutions using AI and low-code tools.
  • Process Analysis: Map and review workflows to spot bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
  • Data & Testing: Prepare sample datasets, run tests, and record results from digital experiments.
  • User Engagement and Adoption: Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements, validate prototypes, and produce materials to support rollout.
  • Research: Explore new AI and citizen-development trends relevant to TAQA and summarise promising ideas.
  • Value: Deliver an end showcase summarising learning and value delivered.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Support process discovery and mapping
  • Strong Interest in low‑code platforms and AI‑assisted problem‑solving
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels
  • Strong analytical mindset 
  • Confidence working with structured and unstructured data for basic preparation, testing and validation of prototypes.
  • Self‑driven
     

QUALIFICATIONS

Currently undertaking a relevant Technology Degree or equivalent.
