Job Title: Non - Operated Joint Venture Accountant Summer Student ~ RQ 24-55 ~

We are searching for an eager Non - Operated Joint Venture Accountant Summer Student. You will work with the Non -Operated Joint Venture team supporting the completion of entries for financial cycles. You will gain valuable experience by being exposed to Non -Operated Joint Venture Accounting, along with exposure to Accounts Payable.  Your time with us will help you to gain a better understanding of how Non -Operated Joint Venture Accounting roles function within an oil and gas producer.    

This is a summer student position based out of Calgary. This position is full time from May – August 2025

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Learn the full life cycle of a well by approving capital and operating costs billed on joint interest billings
• Understand the flow of volumes by reviewing joint venture agreements and verifying fees charged   
• Review monthly cheque run for assigned joint venture partners
• Prepare journal entries for correcting entries
• Learn and utilize many different oil and gas systems such as Energylink, CS Explorer, Petrinex and Accumap

Your Qualifications:

• You will have completed your 2nd year or 3rd in a Business Degree program (preferably with an accounting or finance major) and will be returning to school in Fall 2025.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Demonstrated desire to learn and develop their skills
• Enthusiastic and motivated
• Your prior experience in oil and gas is an asset
