BASIC PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The basic purpose of the Flight Coordinator role is to provide support to the Supply Chain department and operational departments. The Flight Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and facilitating operational flight planning, including checking individual offshore training certificates. He/She works closely with Supply Chain logistics, radio operators, and the TAQA planning department. The Supply Chain (logistics) department is responsible for all land, air, and sea logistics.

Complete prescribed activities, performing standardized processes within clearly defined and established procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Booking all passengers in the Vantage system.
• Verifying the suitability of travel (certificates, training, etc.).
• Prioritizing airfreight in conjunction with operational requirements.
• Maintaining the "FLT lookahead" sheet on a passenger level.
• Informing vendors about crew-up days and requirements in the mid-term.
• Confirming actual check-ins in the short term.
• Monitoring weather forecasts and escalating when required.
• Ensuring that airfreight procedures are being followed.
• Arranging hotel bookings if required.
• Acting as the operational focal point for all aviation activities.
• Providing monthly aviation reporting and updates.
• Monitoring actual flights vs. ordered flights.
• Managing internal and external stakeholders.
• Reporting to Supply Chain team lead logistics.
• Setting objectives and delivering results that directly impact the achievement of results within the logistics area of the Supply Chain department.
• Keeping up to date with market developments.
• Developing medium-term objectives, schedules, action plans, and milestones for the logistics team.
• Adapting and enhancing quality and value in existing methods as part of day-to-day activities.
• Identifying problems and updating or modifying working methods

QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING

Bachelor degree.

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role and / or relevant working experience, preferably in the oil & gas industry.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Fluency in both Dutch and English (spoken and written).
• Competency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and determine priorities to meet Supply Chain team objectives.
• Team-player and effective communicator at all hierarchical levels.
• Volunteer spirit, willing to take on additional responsibilities when time allows.
• Willingness to learn and ask pertinent questions.
